Concordia Lutheran Preschool, which is licensed by the state of Colorado, opened its doors to students in September 1985 with 18 students. A PreKindergarten class was added in 1987, and in 1993 a Kindergarten class came into existence. We have grown to 120 children in our three Preschool classes, two morning and two afternoon PreKindergarten classes, Transition class and Kindergarten class. Morning classes are 8:45-11:45, afternoon classes 12:30-3:30, and Full day Kindergarten operates from 8:45-2:15. Our Transition class is for 5 year olds and is from 8:45-11:45. Our Ready-Set-Go program is open to our enrolled PreKindergartners on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 12:30-3:30 as an enrichment to our PreK curriculum.

Our school provides a Christ-centered learning experience, which helps each child build a positive relationship with God, with others, and him/herself. Our curriculum is developmentally appropriate where each child can grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically, and academically in a safe, secure environment. Our long-term staff of trained, caring teachers help guide each child on their individual learning journey. Our students enjoy monthly field trips and/or special children's programs as well as celebrations of holidays, such as classroom parties, Pot-Luck Socials, Evening Christmas Program, Preschool Sundays, and End of the Year Family Picnic.

Children must be three (Preschool), four (PreKindergarten), or five (Transition or Kindergarten) by October 1, without exception. Classes begin the day after Labor Day and finish up before the end of May. We try to follow the Jefferson County School Calendar as closely as possible to accommodate families with older siblings. Formal Parent Teacher Conferences are held twice a year, but we strongly support open communications throughout the year.
